Townhouse Carports, Front & Back yards

Purpose of the Policy

  • To provide members with the rules for which the carports and front & back yards of their units are used and must be kept.

Policy

  1. All above noted areas must be kept clean and tidy.

  2. Neither carports nor yards are to be used as storage areas, Indoor appliances, indoor furniture, car parts, oily rags, and garbage must not be stored in these areas. Recycling bags, boxes and/or bins are acceptable.

  3. Inspections of the above noted areas will be done ONCE A YEAR or as required. The inspections must be completed with a minimum of one (1) Board of Directors’ member, (1) Landscaping Committee member and (1) Maintenance Committee member.  The co-op has the right to request a member to clean-up unsightly carports and yards.

  4. Items in the member’s outside storage cupboard in the carport are stored at the member’s own risk. Flammable objects are not to be stored in the storage cupboards. Charcoal must be stored in airtight, sealed metal containers in the storage cupboards. Members should ensure that they are aware of the hazards or storing volatile products. Members are responsible for supplying their own padlocks.

  5. All gardening to be in compliance with the Grounds Maintenance Policy.

Procedure


  1. Members will receive a minimum of two (2) weeks notice of the annual inspection.

  2. Refer to the Fines and Warnings Policy.

  3. Refer to Section 6 – Rule 6.01; Page 16 of the Occupancy Agreement.
