Smoking Policy

Smoking is Prohibited:

1. on the interior common areas, including but not limited to hallways, elevator, parking garages, electrical and mechanical rooms, stairs, front entrances

2. on the first floor as approved in the Non-smoking Policy June 26, 2013

3. within six metres [16.5 feet] of a common door, window or air intake; and

4. in  the areas directly north and south of the community building.

"Smoking" shall include the inhaling, exhaling, burning or ordinary use of any tobacco or product whose use generates smoke.

All persons, including but not limited to members, occupants and visitors must comply with this policy. Members must ensure that this policy is not violated by their visitors or anyone they let into the co-op.

As of November 4, 2015 the Ford Road Housing Co-op will be designated as a non-smoking co-op. Any smoking members prior to this date will be grandfathered.

This Policy replaces all previous polices.
