Barbeques & Heaters

Purpose of the Policy

• To provide members with the rules for the use of barbeques and heaters within the co-op

Policy

1. There will be absolutely no use or storage of any kind of barbeques (Gas or Charcoal) or Heaters (Gas or Electric) on apartment or townhouse balconies at any time due to the possibility of a fire. Electric grills are permitted.

2. Any member observed either storing or using said barbeques or heaters on balconies would be subject to the fines and warnings policy.

3. The area at the back of the Community building or the large concrete circles may be used for barbeque usages.

4. Barbeques must be moved at least thirty-six (36) inches away from the townhouse exterior walls prior to using.

5. Any flammable gas container (Gasoline, Propane, Butane, etc) Must be safely and securely stored at all times.

Procedure

1. Per Fine and Warning Policy, one warning will be issued before proceeding with Fines.

2. Reference Occupancy Agreement, Section 6, rule 6.01 - page 16. (Comply with Rules and Policies)

Approved by general membership June 21, 2023

This policy replaces all previous policies related to barbeques and heaters.
