Access and Repairs

Purpose of the policy

 - To provide members with the rules for the access and repairs to their units and common areas

Policy

1.  Members will be responsible for maintaining their units in a state of good repairs and cleanliness.

2. Members shall be liable for all breakage/damage caused by themselves, other residents or guests, to the unit and/or to the buildings, and common property of the Co-op.

3. In the event of an accident or defect in water pipes, basic unit construction, heating apparatus, electrical wiring, members shall give prompt notice to the office or building representatives.

4. Should emergency access to any unit have to be gained by force and should the member or other residents or guests have directly or indirectly caused such emergency, then any resultant expense incurred shall be borne by the member.

Procedures

1. All efforts would be made to contact the member first.

2. Two (2) Board of Directors would enter and assess the situation and take the appropriate actions.
